Photoshop 2 is a thoughtfully planned and organized course. There is a hidden pitfall that one such as myself failed to avoid. Amateur hour :) This is the type of circumstance where one can learn what some of the essentials needed to produce professional website and final portfolio works in the future.

This portfolio has been a fun project overall with fine results. Fine like a breathable linen rather than silk. I can say honestly that I minerly botched my vision, and can accept learning my error with gratitude. I had planned from the start to produce a modern digital portfolio that is minimal and punchy as I'm most interested in focusing on motorsports design work.  I've maintained this theme as much as possible throughout the works that would be featured in the final portfolio.

Selection of the colours and fonts suited both the theme and matched the works of each project.  However, I would say that I failed to maintain a complimentary design or neutrality across the full suite of assignments. Maintaining this intention over the past few months would have brought more unity to the final portfolio. That said, one can't expect that every project will fit perfectly into a portfolio theme.

The saving grace is that my portfolio layout and design suits the use of a white, black, or neutral background which is a more common treatment with my blocky content so they work within my chosen theme. Adding a neutral coloured backgound for the some of the less blocky works helps them pop and brings more unity to the slideshows.

Most of the assignments I found to be very pleasing, and the layer mask was my favorite as I was very inspired by the process. The magazine culminating assignment could have been better. I made it a bit modern for the period - mostly because of the mug shot I chose for the cover. This forced the text more into the middle of the cover which is abnormal for the period, and of course isn't a good design choice now either!  It does give the magazine the punch of drama and tabloid that I was going for - It's off point but I can live with it.
